Issue Position: I Support our Independent Truckers

Statement

The recent independent truckers strike nationwide here on 4-1-08 was the right thing to do. I support them and I agree with them. George Bush says he is concerned about the economy but,we are not in a recession. That means George Bush is not in a recession. The rest of the country is in the recession. We can not eat gas. I will immediately abolish the failed Ethanol bill that has enabled the price of corn to sky rocket to over $6 dollars a bushel. And at the same time decrease the amount of plantable U.S. land for all of our other agricultual products we should be producing. The price increase in corn has rubixed our other food costs for grain to our cattle and so many other unfavorable aspects of this our dirivetive driven agricultural society.
